The Overview of Beijing Jiaotong University

北京交通大学是教育部直属，教育部、交通运输部、北京市人民政府和中国国家铁路集团有限公司共建的全国重点大学，是国家“211工程”“985工程优势学科创新平台”“双一流”建设高校。历经双甲子发展，学校形成了以信息、管理等学科为优势，以交通科学与技术为特色，工、管、经、理、文、法、哲等多学科协调发展的完备的学科培养体系。

Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education, jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Beijing Municipal Government, and China State Railway Group Co., Ltd, is an active contributor to the development of the “National 211 Project”, the “985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project” and the “Double First-Class” construction. After more than 120 years of development, Beijing Jiaotong University has formed a complete disciplinary cultivation system with information, management and other disciplines as its strengths, transportation science and technology as its characteristics, and the coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, management, economics, science, literature, law and philosophy.

预科项目介绍

Introduction of the Preparatory Program

北京交通大学来华留学预科项目主要以已经在本国取得高中毕业证书且成绩优秀，有志于攻读我校相关专业国际学生为培养对象，本项目以全方位提高学习者听说读写技能为主，同时强调理工、经贸相关专业初级知识，学习者经过系统学习后可具有较高汉语水平和跨文化交际能力，具备基本的数学、物理、经贸基础知识，能够顺利进入本科或研究生进行专业学习。

The preparatory program of Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is mainly for international students who have already obtained their high school diplomas in their home countries and have excellent academic performance, and who are interested in studying relevant majors in BJTU. This program focuses on improving learners’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a holistic manner, with an emphasis on the primary knowledge of science, technology and trade-related disciplines. After systematic study, learners can have a high level of Chinese language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills, basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, economics and trade, and be able to successfully enter undergraduate or postgraduate professional studies.

修业年限及结业要求

Study Duration and Graduation Requirements

零基础学生基本修业年限为1年，最长不超过1.5年；

The basic study period for zero-based students is one year, with a maximum of 1.5 years;

HSK3级以上学生最短4个月，最长不超过1年。

Minimum 4 months and maximum 1 year for students with HSK level 3 or above.

修满规定课程、按期参加文化实践，经我校结业考试合格者或者通过HSK5级考试者即可进入专业学习。

Students who have completed the required courses, participated in the cultural practice as scheduled, and passed the final examination of our school or passed the HSK level 5 will be admitted to the professional study.

课程设置

Curriculum Provision

课程设置以汉语能力应用为导向，以具备运用中文学习专业知识为目标，围绕汉语能力、中华文化传播能力和跨文化交际能力的培养，形成了以汉语为主导、汉语综合主干课和技能课为重点、数、理、经贸知识为补充的课程体系。

The curriculum is oriented towards the application of Chinese language skills, with the goal of having the ability to use Chinese to learn professional knowledge. Focusing on the cultivation of Chinese language ability, Chinese cultural transmission ability and cross-cultural communication ability, BJTU has formed a curriculum system with Chinese language as the dominant language, Chinese comprehensive backbone courses and skills courses as the focus, and mathematical, scientific, economic and trade knowledge as the supplement.

Proof of Chinese or English language proficiency (for Chinese language teaching: HSK certificate; for English language teaching: IELTS and TOEFL certificates) (not mandatory)

7.外国人体格检查表 (应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件）

Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for six months prior to the date of application)

8.资金证明（近一个月银行流水，且余额在10,000美元以上）

Financial proof (bank statement of latest 1 month with a balance over 10,000 dollars)

9.无犯罪记录证明原件和中文/英文翻译件（无犯罪记录证明应在有效期之内，通常应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件）

Original certificate of no criminal record with Chinese/English translation (no criminal record shall be within the validity period and should normally be less than six months prior to the date of submission of the application)

春季学期每年2月中、下旬或3月初入学，申请时间为2023.11.1-2023.12.30

Spring Semester: students are enrolled in mid February, late February or early March each year.

Application Period for Spring Semester: 2023.11.1-2023.12.30

秋季学期每年9月初入学，申请时间为3月至6月

Autumn Semester: students are enrolled in early September each year.

Application Period for Autumn Semester: from March to June.
